Being able to design this course from scratch has been one of the most enjoyable and rewarding aspects of her teaching career. Ms. Pavlovich has always had a passion for movement, and she believes that anyone and everyone can move. Growing up, she had the privilege to participate in a variety of movement programs and sports teams. Ms. Pavlovich then completed her Bachelor of Physical Education, Bachelor of Education, and Master’s of Education from Brock University, all while being a varsity rugby student-athlete. She enjoyed her post-secondary institution so much, she is giving back to that same place through her role as Head Coach of the Women’s Rugby Team. During the past seven years, Ms. Pavlovich has had the opportunity to teach at Brock, Grimsby, Ridgeway, Stamford, Beamsville, Kernahan, Sir Winston, and Governor Simcoe, but feels most at home in the purple and white. After witnessing the success of the dance program here at Myer (and participating in a dance class or two), she decided to take her dance qualification. And, she absolutely loved it! As a movement specialist, Ms. Pavlovich believes that dance does not just happen in a studio, but it is a key part of enjoyment, culture, community, and in her case, her family and friend get-togethers. I hear she enjoys a good Beyonce song now and then. On a daily basis, you can find Ms.Pavlovich smiling as she passes students in the hallway, encouraging every student to play rugby, leading a lunch-time teacher work-out, or planning the next lip-sync battle with Mr.Zapata. If you are interested in being a peer-tutor in her class, or you would like to be a choreographer for the SSTC dance showcase and team, please email her at [email protected].
